Private development projects incentivized through the City of Stillwater's Tax Increment Financing districts are bringing in exciting new restaurants, bars and retailers into the downtown district, increasing the overall quality of life and access to amenities for the citizens of Stillwater, and for those visiting from our of town.

It is our belief that the melding of all of this strenghts: Education,  Entreprenuership and Quality of life projects, tell a story about a community that is aware of its strenghts, while taking proactive and agressive measures to grow in hopes of attracting more businesses and families into the community.

where we've been

Founded in 1884, Stillwater ranks as the 10th largest city in the State of Oklahoma, sitting as the county seat for Payne County, positioned at the intersection of U.S. Route 177 and Oklahoma State Highway 51. A hub of education, agriculture arts and amenities in the North-central region of Oklahoma, Stillwater gains foot-traffic and commerce from the smaller communities positioned around it. From a business development perspective  Stillwater has historically valued education, agriculture and entrepreneurship. From a more holistic perspective, Stillwater values community, collaboration and citizen-focused planning for the future. Moving forward, Stillwater is taking steps to maintain and expand the impact and imprint of educational and cultural institutions, while also bringing in novel and exciting developments and businesses that will add to overall quality of life.
